After conducting extensive interviews with functional and business leadership, CEB researchers identified significant skill gaps across each corporate function.

Executives indicated the need for staff to develop the skills necessary to support key priorities as well as to serve as a more strategic partner within the organization.
Line partners and business leaders interviewed reported a lack of the same business partnering skills that executives within each function stated were most critical to support the business.
