Service Corps
Firm values drive growth at The Corporate Executive Board. Community service is an integral part of the firm's culture and a natural extension of the spirit of generosity that drives interactions with members and colleagues. We seek to provide programs that deliver financial, intellectual, and human capital to innovative community service organizations. And we support our staff around the globe as they spend countless hours volunteering before and after work, on weekends, and even on their vacations. We direct our resources to make our philanthropic partners even better at what they do and empower our employees to transform the communities they serve.
The Corporate Executive Board selected nine community partners to be the focus of our 2009 efforts. Our Partners Program rewards organizations that represent our force of ideas value: innovative solutions to the world’s most challenging social issues. CEB staff support these organizations through high-impact, hands-on service; short-term and long-term pro bono projects; serving on boards of directors; and financial donations.

CEB Volunteers as a Firm
To introduce our commitment to service to our new community in Arlington, The Corporate Executive Board helped build a playground in the area. On 7 June 2008, with the heat index of 105°F, 180 CEB volunteers collectively mixed 16,000 pounds of concrete, spread 150 cubic yards of mulch, set up a 250-foot chain-link fence, built 4 planter benches, 4 Mendocino benches, 3 picnic tables, and 1 sandbox. That’s a lot to accomplish in eight hours’ time!
