Thomas L. Monahan III was named Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Corporate Executive Board (NYSE: EXBD) effective 1 January 2008. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of the company since 1 July 2005, and has served as a company officer and director since 2001. Prior to this, he was a member of the firm’s research and operating management team since the mid-1990’s. 

As part of the company’s leadership for more than a decade, Mr. Monahan has helped to redefine how the world’s leading companies make their most important decisions.  By tapping the collective experience of, and analyzing performance data from, more than 5,700 companies, CEB has created authoritative insights and highly relevant management resources to help companies manage talent, innovation, and risk. Across the past decade, the firm has been one of the fastest growing professional/information services companies globally, and has become one of the most respected authorities on management issues. Its network of active members has grown fivefold over that period.

Across his 16 years with the company, Mr. Monahan has led the firm’s efforts on a wide variety of topics—including innovation and technology processes, operating and reputational risk, the structure and role of the financial sector, and employee productivity and performance. In partnership with CEB’s service and advisory teams, he has also worked with members on six continents to drive outstanding corporate performance using our insights and tools.  He is a widely quoted authority on management issues—particular risk management, corporate governance, and ethical leadership.

Building on CEB’s core ethic of service, the company’s leadership team has also pioneered a range of innovations in community investment and philanthropy—including sizable community investments, pro bono advisory help, and a global service day.

Mr. Monahan is also a member of the board of directors of Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), where he is chairman of the Governance and Nominating Committee. He also teaches Sunday School at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, and—along with his wife and daughters—is active in causes that facilitate the participation of women and girls in economic life globally.

Before joining CEB, Mr. Monahan worked with Deloitte & Touche, the Committee for Economic Development, and Andersen Consulting.  He holds an undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Harvard University and received his MBA with distinction from New York University.

Melody Jones joined the Corporate Executive Board as the Chief Human Resources Officer in January, 2006. In addition to her global responsibilities for the firm’s human capital initiatives, she oversees the Corporate Legal function, Facilities and Procurement, and the Member Meetings department. Additionally, she manages the firm’s Conferences business.

Prior to assuming her current position, Ms. Jones served from 2002 to 2006 as the Human Resources Director for T. Rowe Price, a global investment management firm. In this capacity, she had overall responsibility for the global Human Resources function. Prior to joining T. Rowe Price, Melody spent eight years at Aon Corporation, a Fortune 50 insurance brokerage and consulting company, serving from 1998-2002 as the Chief Human Resources Officer. She joined Aon in 1994, as head of the Midwestern Regional Office of Aon Consulting. In 1996, she assumed responsibility for the HR Strategy and Technology consulting practice, and managed this global practice until assuming her role as CHRO for the corporation. Melody also served as a senior consultant with Organizational Dynamics, Inc., and held several leadership positions across a six-year tenure with Citicorp Mortgage.

Ms. Jones holds a Master of Fine Arts degree and a Bachelor of Music degree, both from Southern Illinois University. She has also completed post-graduate work in Organizational Psychology at the University of Missouri.

Richard Lindahl was appointed Chief Financial Officer of The Corporate Executive Board on 18 May  2009. Rich brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience to CEB.

From 2006 until 2008, Mr. Lindahl served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer, and from 2005 to 2006, as Vice President and Treasurer, of Sprint Nextel Corporation. From 1997 until 2005, Mr. Lindahl served in various positions, including as Treasurer and in Planning and Analysis roles, at Nextel Communications, Inc. Mr. Lindahl held the position of Vice President, Finance, at Pocket Communications, Inc. from 1995 until 1997. Before 1995, Mr. Lindahl held various positions at MCI Communications, Deloitte & Touche, and Casher Associates.

Mr. Lindahl holds an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and a BA in Computer Science from Dartmouth College.

Steve joined The Corporate Executive Board (CEB) in May 2009 as General Manager and Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for managing all aspects of our commercial operations, including sales and service operations, marketing, and product commercialization. Steve also serves as a member of the Corporate Leadership Team.

Bringing more than two decades of experience driving growth at some of the world’s leading organizations, he most recently served as Vice President at Dell, where he helped lead the Global Services division to be the company’s fastest growing major business. Previously, he served as Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Business Development and Inside Sales at Trilogy Software, and as an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company. He began his career at Chemical Bank where he was Assistant Vice President. Prior to joining CEB, Steve was a longstanding member of our councils, and, in fact, led initiatives that were featured in some of our best practice studies of customer-driven sales and marketing.

Haniel Lynn is the General Manager of two practices areas within The Corporate Executive Board (CEB): the Sales, Marketing, and Communications practice and the Financial Services practice. Haniel has overall business responsibility for a range of research, advisory, and decision support products under the CEB umbrella and is also a member of CEB’s Corporate Leadership Team.

Haniel was formerly the Executive Director of the New Business Development group at CEB, with responsibility for spearheading corporate growth and new product development. Prior to joining CEB, Haniel was the Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at LYTE, Inc. He also spent a number of years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he served leading technology and media companies globally on issues of marketing, strategy, operations, and organization. In addition, Haniel has worked with GE Information Services, where his professional responsibilities included software applications development, product marketing and management, and technical client support.

Haniel received his Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Anthony Parslow joined The Corporate Executive Board (CEB) in December 2009 as the Executive Director of Corporate Strategy and Global Development and is based out of the London office. In this role, Anthony is responsible for managing CEB’s global corporate strategy, including all avenues for organic and discontinuous growth in domestic and international regions. He is also a member of the firm’s Corporate Leadership Team.

Prior to joining CEB, Anthony’s achievements include strong leadership experience at IBM, Forrester, and Datamonitor. As Forrester’s Chief Operating Officer for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, he brought the business to profitability, led the integration of Giga Information Group in EMEA, and launched a number of new product and market expansions including setting up Forrester Middle East; he also later led a turnaround project to fix Forrester’s Asia–Pacific operations. While General Manager at Datamonitor, the business achieved a 59% increase in profits and a 50% growth in share price before its sale to Informa for $1 billion. He also led the successful acquisition and integration of Ovum. Throughout his career, Anthony has led numerous efforts to realign overall go-to-market strategies and drive the associated changes necessary for success.

Anthony received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the National University of Ireland, a Diploma in International Management from IECS–The Strasbourg Graduate School of Management, and certification from the Paris Chamber of Commerce.

With nearly two decades of experience providing strategic counsel to senior executives at the world’s largest companies, Kurt Reisenberg has a deep understanding of how to help clients of the Corporate Executive Board (CEB) identify and adopt functional best practices that improve corporate performance. 

A member of CEB’s Corporate Leadership Team, Kurt oversees a number of membership programs that are designed to help clients advance business goals in the areas of finance, corporate integrity, strategy, and corporate services. Many of these programs were designed and launched under his leadership.

Kurt and his team are focused on helping executives tackle emerging and recurring business challenges in critical areas including: identifying where Finance and Legal departments can create unique value for the enterprise, helping CFOs adopt the role of “Chief Performance Officer,” improving efficiency in processes such as the accounting close, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation, implementing shared services strategies, understanding and responding to investor demands, and managing strategic, operational and compliance risks.

As Executive Director, Warren has overall responsibility for the IT Research Practice, HR Research Practice, and the Government Research Practice at the Corporate Executive Board. In the IT practice, Warren is responsible for leading the programs’ research and service offerings, ability to meet the needs of the membership, and direction moving forward. In the Government Practice, Warren leads the firm wide strategy effort to further develop our relationships with that segment. Warren is a member of CEB’s Corporate Leadership Team.

Warren has been with The Corporate Executive Board since March 2004 and came to CEB after spending 10 years with Mercer Management Consulting/Oliver Wyman, the last three as a senior partner running the firm’s San Francisco office. Warren’s work at Mercer focused on developing customer-focused corporate strategies in the telecom and computer services industries. Warren received his MBA from the University of Chicago and his BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

About the Washington, D.C. Office

Washington, D.C. serves as CEB’s corporate headquarters and has been our largest office since the company was founded more than 25 years ago. CEB has occupied many different buildings in downtown D.C. as the company has grown, but we currently make our home in the Waterview Building on the banks of the Potomac River in Rosslyn, Va. The office offers stunning views of Washington’s most famous landmarks and is just a short walk from Georgetown.

About the London Office

London serves as a hub for our work in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Located in Central London’s Holborn neighborhood, the office occupies Victoria House on the edge of Bloomsbury Square, where the vibrant West End meets the commercial and financial district. The British Museum and other major attractions are nearby, and you only have to step out the door to discover the restaurants, shops, and pubs that make this area a great place to work.

About the New Delhi Office

New Delhi serves as an important hub for resources that support CEB’s global operations as well as our work with member companies in the region. Located southwest of downtown New Delhi in Gurgaon, the office is part of the DLF Cyber City complex, which features the latest technology and physical infrastructure. The office sits alongside those of many member companies and offers easy access to our staff.

About the Singapore Office

CEB opened the Singapore office in early 2010 to support our increasing work with members in the Asia-Pacific region. Chosen for its proximity to many of our member companies, the office is located in the heart of the business district and is surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.

Sydney serves as a hub for our work in the Asia–Pacific region. About the Chicago, IL Office
